Inspired by 725, my home address, I designed this as my mother’s health began to fail. I can’t remember one nice Ohio day that she didn’t greet neighbors, the mailman, and family from their gorgeous front porch in her rocking chair. It became a must in transforming my front porch from a tiny, claustrophobic, “time-out” porch! We blew out the small confined stucco walls of our porch replaced with beautiful, timeless travertine that rolled out like a red carpet welcoming friends and family of all ages up and into community right in our front yard. Ugly, boring, plain Arizona landscape was replaced with a boutique feel bringing in a fresh new concept of retaining wall interlocked with thousands of pounds of boulders that roll straight over into perfectly manicured realistic artificial turf. The beauty is in all the details, each thoughtfully considered to add to the pristine design. Everyone that comes to visit cannot leave without commenting on the comfort and peace the space brings them! What a dream living in a place that allows us to lengthen our “tables” and lower our “fences”.
